A Product Datafeed is a great way to optimize your program! You get listed in a bunch of ShareASale tools that Affiliates use – namely our “Make A Page“, “Widgets“, “Videos” – and you are more easily found by potential Affiliates who search for programs based on products as opposed to Merchant name.
One easy way Merchants can keep the products up-to-date is to set up automatic uploads via FTP. If you are interested in setting up FTP access for your program, just submit a ticket from inside your account with the static IP address from where the feed will be uploaded.

The datafeed is just a tool for you to use – when building your sites you can provide your own content, and use the feed items as you wish for posts. I would agree with you that you don’t want to just create something that everyone else has, you’ll want to add your own content and value.
