6 Tools Bloggers Should Be Using!
If you have been following our blog closely over the past couple years, you may remember our previous post called ‘5 Tools Every Affiliate Should Use on ShareASale.’ Well, I have good news for you Affiliates out there! ShareASale recently added and made improvements to our Affiliate and blogger-friendly tools. And this time, there are 6 I want to talk about! Trust us – you should definitely be using these:
1. Product Discovery Bookmarklet
You may have already read about this tool here, but to refresh your memory – this bookmarklet is a tool that allows you to capture Affiliate links on the fly! All you need to do is to install the tool onto your browser which is done by a simple drag and drop. Let’s say you’re on one of our Merchant’s pages checking out a product, one that you are about to purchase or have purchased in the past, and it would fit in nicely with your content. With the bookmarklet, you can quickly copy and paste the Affiliate link for your blog right then and there. It also has the option to save the link for later use AND it will create a license plate link for you. Basically, it’s a HUGE timesaver!

2. Product Showcase
We wrote up a preview about the Product Showcase here, but in short, it’s a dynamic banner that is powered by a Merchant’s datafeed. It automatically updates and will feature different products every time the page refreshes. You can decide which Merchants are involved and give us a category or keyword, determine how many products are featured, and the color scheme. Then, we’ll create the banner for you. It’s THAT easy!

3. AffTrack Report
While Affiliate-defined tracking has been around for some time, we recently added a report to the Affiliate interface specifically for afftrack values – called the “Afftrack” Parameter Report! Affiliate-defined tracking is a way to see how well certain Affiliate links are performing. It’s also a way to know which conversions came from certain members of your website. With the new report, you no longer have to filter through previous reports to see how links are performing! The report includes the Merchant, Afftrack value, gross sales, number of sales, commissions, average order and average return days.

4. Custom Link Tool
Your goal is to direct your audience to the most relevant information on the Merchant’s website to create a purchase. What if you can’t find an Affiliate link that leads directly to the page or specific category you want? Create your own! Deep linking increases Affiliate sales, as it provides all necessary information for the click to convert. You can also choose to create your license plate link from this tool, which is great for social media statuses where character space counts!

5. Make-A-Page
Major improvements have been made to our Make-A-Page feature. It’s similar to the product showcase, but you get to pick the products you want featured. This is also an interactive display which allows you to choose two different views – Page View and Gallery View. The page view is basically a table in which you select the size and color. The gallery view allows your visitors to scroll through the products you’ve selected in a visually appealing manner.

6. Deals Bar
Automatically show deals from your select Merchants to readers! It’s a simple wordpress plug-in that utilizes ShareASale’s API. We have almost 15,000 coupons and deals coming from over 1,500 of our retailers. Keep this in mind, especially for the Holiday Season!
