Filters on Store Summary Report

February 11, 2013 by ShareASale Leave a Comment

In 2008…

ShareASale Timeline 2008

ShareASale announced an incredibly useful tool called StoresConnect.  For those of you who don’t know what it is, it might not hurt to check it out.  StoresConnect allows Merchants with multiple storefronts to have one centralized login with unified billing, reporting, creatives, separate commissions per store, etc.  For Affiliates, this is helpful because as you apply to one brand, you are given access to the other brands as well…everyone wins!  One of the main reports that was created by this new feature is called Summary by Store.  As you can imagine, it gives you a summary of sales based on the particular store.

Here’s how you can find it…

TODAY, February 11, 2013…

We have decided to add a new feature to this report!  Now, if you are a Merchant with multiple storefronts, you can filter your “Summary by Store” report by individual webstore and/or the particular Tag that you’ve previously assigned (discussed here and here.  You can order the results by store or Affiliate and by commissions, gross sales, number of sales, average order, etc.  It might be easier just to take a look for yourself…

Program Management Ideas from Report Results:

  1. Start a scouting campaign. Use the new filters to identify your top Affiliates in each store.  Then, if you see that they have potential to succeed with your other stores, you could offer a promotion around that store as a bonus campaign to those Affiliates.
  2. Offer exclusive bonuses for the top performing Affiliates. As an Affiliate promotion, give a VIP commission to top Affiliates in each store as a thank you for their dedicated efforts.
  3. Set up an automated performance-based commission rule for when Affiliates start sending more sales to your other sites.  For example, “If you send 15 sales to ExampleStore.com this month and receive a permanent 5% increase to your commission”
  4. Generate a report filtered by Affiliate Tag to compare performance metrics across Tags.  Export the report to compare performance over time for each Tag.
