Best Practices – Featured Placements

What is a Featured Placement?

Featured Placements are ad spots which live on various pages throughout the Affiliate Interface. The goal of the placement is to recruit prospective affiliates into that featured program. So when creating a Featured Placement ad, they should be designed in such a way as to entice and educate an affiliate on the benefit of joining the program.

Tips for Featured Placement Creation:

  • Pick a time when affiliates are most likely in the mind to join new program. For example, Q4 is traditionally a slower recruitment time. Also, you may want to avoid weeks when affiliates will most likely be away from their computer such as holidays.
  • Include program highlights. What makes your particular program compelling.
  • Consider adding an affiliate incentive. Ex.: VIP commission for joining from ad, Cash bonus for first 10 sales, Double commission through the end of the year.

Where To Reserve a Featured Placement?

A reservation can be made for a Featured Placements from inside the Merchant Interface.
Tools > “Become A Featured Program” > “Book Online”

Pricing, duration, and location of ad vary by Featured Program type.
