Best and Worst (Not Really) Holiday Cards of 2009

December 24, 2009 by ShareASale 3 Comments

Happy Holidays everyone… and thank you so much for all the wonderful cards and gifts that we received here at ShareASale! We are all stuffed with great treats and filled with holiday spirit. I wanted to take a moment to write up a quick fun post, as what will hopefully become a small tradition here. We receive a large number of holiday cards and I’m always amazed at how creative and fun they are. I’m also amazed that so many people in a company are able to sign them because I know how hard it is to sign so many cards! Anyhow, lets get to it. I hereby award Best Holiday Card of 2009 to the following card…

The winners are the Schaaf Brothers and their amazing team … for several reason which I will point out.

  1. Brook, I believe, is actually making fun of himself in the card… which earns double points.
  2. The card refers to eating a Mastadon as a regular diet item.
  3. The card comes complete with instructions.
  4. It made us laugh.

Bravo Schaaf Co – and thanks for the card. Keep em’ coming. (Last years was a hoot as well.)

(No, I’m not actually going to give a “Worst” … they were all great and thank you all!!)

Glad you liked it! It was actually Brook’s idea. The best way to compliment him is to express amazement that he thought of it.

Try this: “YOU thought of that?!? YOU did???”

The card is also making fun of me (accurately) as a cookie glutton. But Brook’s original conception actually didn’t involve making fun of me. I recommend you ask him about where the cookies were getting stuffed in the original version, and try to picture just how that would be executed on a Christmas card.

    Merry Christmas!!!

Ha – I’ll remember that for next time! Now I’m off to eat some cookies, or maybe a dinosaur.

Knowing that ShareASale has a particularly keen sense of mirth, we are particularly honored. :)
