April 6th… Snow on the ground? 28 degrees Fahrenheit?
As I parted the 90 degree weather and boarded my flight Monday morning headed into the icy abyss known as Chicago for my first day at ShareASale, I had a grin on my face knowing that I had a few boxes of joy waiting for me in our 21st state.
What are these boxes you ask…?
Let’s go back a few weeks earlier. I was brainstorming over ways that I could bring my personal energy and touch to such an awesome ShareASale team. And then it hit me like a hip check from Brian Campbell (like the Blackhawks reference?)
In its form of molded plastic goodness, The NERF gun was the way to go. What more could you ask for in an office tool? I have seen many amazing things happen with one of these. In my observations offices become more productive due to employee relationships becoming stronger and most importantly a fun work environment. Seriously, what is more fun than bouncing a foam dart from your colleagues’ noggin and then having the recipient laugh about it?
If you know me already you know that I typically stray from the “norm” and try to think way outside of the box.
We have already engaged in a few all out battles since I issued the NERF guns and I look forward to many more to come. I couldn’t be more excited to be part of such an awesome and creative team!!!
