April 11th – Today, many of you received a promotional email from one of our new merchants who is doing some recruiting for their program. We just wanted to come on here and explain what that email was, and how to control things like that from your account.
From time to time, usually no more than 2wice per month, a merchant wishes to reach out to the current affiliate base via email. Since we know that many of you receive way too much email (we all do), we do require merchants to pay a fee for this service. They send us what needs to be emailed, and we do the sending (Your info is always protected). We have received a lot of positive feedback from these emails, as well as some negative feedback which is good and helpful as well.
If you wish not to receive these types of emails, you can remove yourself from the list immediately by visiting your account and clicking on the “Edit Your Account” link. From there, select “Unsubscribe” where the “New Merchant Email Subscription”. You won’t get the email anymore.
For those that may have missed it, and would like to subscribe to that email, you can reverse the above and click “Subscribe”.
In the future, we’ll be incorporating these kinds of updates into this blog as well as seperate RSS feeds for new merchants, new offers, datafeed updates, and more. Please let us know if you have any suggestions on these things as well…
