Former Gumtree and eBay executive joins the Awin Group to drive the company’s technology-driven and customer-centric vision forward.
The Awin Group has appointed Gary Reck as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer. In this critical role, Gary will lead the Awin Group’s growing Product & Technology department. He will be pivotal in enhancing the Awin Group’s technical capabilities to deliver the best possible value to both advertisers and publishers through its platform.
Bringing over 15 years of executive management, Gary specializes in providing strategic vision and leading teams through large-scale technology transformations, having previously held Chief Product and Technology Officer positions at Gumtree, eBay and mobile.de. His appointment follows the launch of Awin’s upgraded platform in September, which introduced game-changing affiliate marketing solutions for marketers to regain control over their marketing activities, create lasting marketing partnerships and generate more revenue.
“Launching our upgraded platform was a huge milestone towards becoming a truly technology-driven company,” said Adam Ross, CEO at the Awin Group. “With Gary’s extensive marketplace experience aligning customer needs with product development, we can continue building the world’s leading open partner ecosystem, where any type of marketing partnership is possible for our customers.”
“I’m incredibly excited to join the Awin Group at this important moment and look forward to collaborating with this talented team to deliver innovation that continues to provide exceptional value for our customers. Building upon the recently launched upgrade, we have a solid foundation to further enhance our offerings and drive impactful results,” said Gary.
Gary joins the Awin Group’s Executive Board alongside Chief Executive Officer Adam Ross, Chief Financial Officer Virpy Richter, and Chief Customer Officer David Lloyd. He succeeds Chief Product and Technology Officer Gisele Mast, who left the company in September 2023.
