While Merchants might have just one program to manage, agency representatives often have multiple to keep up-to-date! The Merchant Checklist and Agency Checklist have similarities overall, but we’ve added some additional items for our agency partners to keep an eye on. Run through our to-do with each brand you represent. It will not only help you stay prepared, but will ensure that all your accounts are prepared for the “shop ‘til you drop” season.
2017 Q4 Agency Checklist
Update Client List in OPM Dashboard
Register/remove Merchants in OPM account to help us a) identify which accounts are agency-managed and b) expedite account support.
Update Contact Info
Remove any outdated email addresses or additional logins and update with current information.
Review Deposit Settings
Verify deposit settings and add secondary and backup gateway methods.
Clean-Up Program Details
Review items like program terms to make sure everything is up-to-date and any old/expired information is removed (i.e. rules, creatives, etc).
Create a Marketing Calendar
Highlight shopping days, big shipping deadlines and your own promotions.
Gain Exposure through the Holiday Center
Each agency account qualifies for a complimentary Holiday Ad placement per year.
Analyze Key Partners
Identify top publishers YTD to determine key partners for upcoming season.
Create Incentives
Build rules based on incentives or performance as a way to engage and activate Affiliates – i.e. additional 5% the week before Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
Prepare Creatives & Promotions
Make sure banners are available ahead of time and are relevant to the holiday/season.
Enhance Datafeed
Optimize feed by including fields such as Thumbnail Images, Short Description/Description, Search Terms, Add to Cart URL, etc.
Schedule Newsletters
Include relevant marketing/product information to help Affiliates better promote your brand (gift guides, etc).
Test Commission Rules
Test tracking and run through commission rules prior to peak times to ensure everything is executing as intended.
