How to Use Videos

The ShareASale Video Creative Tool allows both Merchants and Affiliates to upload video files that can be used as Affiliate links. If Merchants are setting up the video, they can add “cue points” inside the videos to display product information at relevant times during the video.

Common video content ideas include:

• Product reviews
• Product demonstrations
• Customer tutorials

Merchants: Uploading + Hosting Videos

On the main screen, the Merchant has different options for adding their video into their creatives on ShareASale.

1. Use an already publicly hosted MP4 video
2. Have ShareASale host the Merchants mp4 video. Remember, only 3 hosted videos are allowed, and each can only be 25 mb maximum
3. Convert a video file to mp4 for downloading and hosting
4. Convert a video file to mp4 and have ShareASale host it. Again, 3 max at 25 mb each.

If you have a mp4 video already hosted in another location, you will be presented with options such as a title, the click URL, who the video will be available to and more.

You make this video publc to all Affiliates or private. If you set it to private, you can choose to add specific individuals, tagged Affiliates, or grouped Affiliates as shown in the image below.

When your video is loaded correctly, it will show a preview at the bottom that you can watch to make sure everything looks and sounds right. If you are not seeing anything, make sure that the video hosted URL is correct.

Once you are satisfied, click “Update Video” and it will be available to Affiliates through the interface.
