Installing and updating normal tracking is not always the most straightforward process depending on your cart platform. To make this easier, we have developed a tracking plugin for our clients who use WordPress as their CMS system and WooCommerce as their cart. So what are the main benefits?
I: No tech needed
The ShareASale Setup Wizard includes the initial basic conversion tracking pixel installation guide. If you’re not fluent in technical aspects of your site though, sorting through templates, thank-you pages and your other website files to install the tracking pixel may be daunting. This plugin is your no-tech solution to this predicament for WooCommerce. Just install our WordPress plugin, enter your Merchant ID into its settings and BOOM – you’re tracking Affiliate sales! The ShareASale Merchant ID is the only required bit of information to get started but you’ll see the option to add other advanced tracking options like xtype (merchant-defined) values and store ID if you’re using our StoresConnect option.
II: Resiliency for Updates
You may have noticed that updates to your WordPress theme and WooCommerce itself can overwrite your carefully placed ShareASale tracking pixel and you end up with temporarily lost Affiliate commissions. This plugin will help protect the tracking against any updates that could potentially interfere with its function. Just set it up once then keep the plugin activated in WordPress and you’re good to go!
III: Reconciliation Automation
Easily void or edit transactions with this handy plugin! The plugin runs on other actions such as order refunds. It can acknowledge when a refund has taken place on the WooCommerce platform and reconcile it within ShareASale automatically behind-the-scenes. This means you won’t have to manually cross-reference between our system and WooCommerce to cancel any Affiliate commissions, saving you a world of time.
