We’ve all come out of our winter stupor – finally! It has been such a long, rough winter that I’m worried some of you have forgotten what the sun looks like. Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer vacation, will be here before we know it!
So shed your jackets, get out your bathing suits and switch your boots for flip flops. Don’t know what to do for Memorial Day weekend? Here are some great ideas:
Visit Memorials and/or Cemeteries
Memorial Day originally was created as a way to honor those who had died in American Civil War. Nowadays, however, it has been extended as a way to honor all military personal who have died serving our country. It is a common practice to place a small flag at the grave of these honorees.
