#BestOf2013 – Best ShareASale Additions

Each year always brings about a different set of changes. With so much going on, like conferences, new additions to our team, etc, it’s difficult to limit ourselves to a handful of impressive updates. 

Here are a few of our favorite highlights of 2013. 

David drafted a blog post earlier in March about the various mispronunciations of the ShareASale name. During an office shakeup, the layout of the different departments changed a bit… and our cherished wall had to find a new home. Needless to say, all names are accounted for and the list has expanded even further.

New inclusions: ScaretheShare, ShareAWorld, ShopASale, and ShareWare. 

It also seems our aforementioned blue ribbon-er, Sharon Sale, found a cousin… ShareACheryl. 

We launched a new feature over the summer called Storefronts. It’s an easy way for school organizations and nonprofits, for example, to supplement their funding by setting up a fundraising site in just a couple of minutes! It’s also an excellent solution for the lesser tech-savvies of the world. 

Merchants provide a pre-built template and a selection of products affiliates can choose from to display on the site. The affiliate has the ability to customize it using their organization name, logo, and URL. Additionally, the template is fully integrated with social sharing functions, which allow for items to be re-Tweeted, or shared on Facebook.

Back in February, we had a whole blog series on interface updates, hence the title… #TheInterface! But the updates didn’t stop there.  In addition to other recently added reports, like the Ledger Report, a Product Breakout Report has been established. 

Product-level tracking is required in order for data to be generated. If enabled, it supplies our Merchants with information like top products sold in a given period, quantity, and amount in gross sales. This can help analyze trends as well as create different commission rules based on the SKUs. 

Our ShareASale home has come a long way as we’re continually building on our Timeline and bringing new friends into the office (re: World Penguin Day). It’s safe to say that we’ve also experienced some unfortunate yet comical incidents this year in our current surroundings. A building fire and shattered glass in the rec room due to playful ping pong rage are two that will probably come to mind first for most.  

Because of the odd string events we seem to encounter here, hard hats and goggles have been purchased and issued to employees. Safety first! … For some.
