Like most other blog wrapups on the Affiliate Summit East in Orlando – I am sitting in the airport waiting for my flight home and hopefully a good night sleep (or 2). :)
If you want to get specific details on what went on at the Summit, there are quite a few places I would recommend: www.AffiliateSummit.com, http://www.revenuetoday.com/blogs/index.php, www.revenews.com, www.abestweb.com, and www.jangro.com – each has a good perspective and angle on the events, sessions, etc…
Myself, I would like to take this chance to thank all the people that helped put all the events together…. Shawn and Missy, you once again managed to put together a show that was both highly educational, fast paced, fun, and most of all… very worthwile. It is not easy to have an event that covers all the diverse aspects of our industry and Shawn and Missy do an exceptional job – I hope if you are reading this and considering attending one of these events that you go ahead and register early for the next Affiliate Summit as it will be a big one.
ShareASale, specifically, had a great trip – myself, Carolyn and Sarah were down in Orlando early on Sunday in order to setup for our table in the “Vendor Showcase” where we were able to meet with a variety of affiliates and merchants… both current and prospective. We did our best to entertain folks as well with our big Howl at the Moon party on Monday night at which I was truly impressed with a specific affiliate who got up on stage to sing two songs, and played the drums for a good 5 songs after that! I hope all the merchants, affiliates, and friends enjoyed the show as much as I did! Unfortunately, for me… there were pictures. :)
The Summit itself had countless educational sessions but we were impressed most by a sesion on SEO Optimization which was truly exceptional…sometimes just one tidbit of information or advice can make the whole trip worthwhile on its own.
Special thanks go out to Andy Rodriguez, Deb Carney, Connie Berg, Michael Coley, Michael Nunez, Todd Farmer and the Kowabunga Team, Forge Business, David Delisle and Jeff Molander (Partner Maker), Shawn Collins, FatWallet, Team Revenue Magazine, Stephanie and Stephanie, Missy Ward, Lisa and Jeff at the Howl at the Moon, Scott, Pat, Michael and all of our guests at Howl – and a whole host of others who entertained us – and helped me to make the ShareASale party and our conference a huge success! I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, but luckily I was able to see everyone before I left so they all know all of this :) I need some sleep, I’ll be back with some more Merchant Focus threads in the morning! :)
