Your program agreement is your contract with the affiliate partners you are working with. If you have any restrictions you would like to implement, special commission tiers, or terms beyond what ShareASale includes in the network agreement, it should be laid out in this document. In order to void sales or transactions because an Affiliate was in “violation of terms” then you must have the actual terms verbatim included in your agreement.
If you would like to review or add a program agreement to your account, go to the “My Account” menu item and click on “Affiliate Communications”.
Things to note:
- An automatic email will be sent to all current affiliates in the program whenever there are changes made to the program agreement.
- There is a 7-day window before new or updated terms will become effective so Affiliates have time to review.
Your rules for PPC bidding should be included in your Affiliate Program Agreement. However, we also have a tool that will make it easier for Affiliates to determine which keywords they are not allowed to bid on, on behalf of your program. The terms listed in this tool are not your binding agreement, however. Using both is the best method.
Upload a list of keywords, choose whether or not you allow PPC bidding on those terms. You can also set Bid Limits and provide descriptions as to why you restrict bidding on certain terms.
One of the key elements of that is monitoring compliance among your PPC Affiliates who bid on terms, on your behalf, in the major search engines.
ShareASale’s basic PPC Monitoring Tool will allow you to stay on top of compliance, and report violations directly to ShareASale, should they occur. This service is included with every ShareASale Merchant account. For Merchants with more significant needs in this area, we highly recommend BrandVerity.com and their entire suite of compliance tools.
