Tip of the Day: Best Selling Products

Do you have a “trending products” section on your website? Are you trying to blow out inventory during a liquidation sale?  Use ShareASale creatives to reflect the merchandising strategy that you are implementing on your actual website. Feature products that you are highlighting on the homepage or in email promotions to your customers. This will help your Affiliates to craft better promotions and convert faster. 

 

Here’s a recap on uploading new creatives: 

 

This is the Creatives tab on your Merchant homepage and its different options to choose from. Let’s focus on three main creatives to feature your bestselling product. Banner links, Videos, and Deals and Coupons.

Banner Links

Banner ads are a great way to call attention to featured collections, best-selling products or hot, seasonal items.

It is a simple process to add a banner to your account from the banner tab in the creatives section. As shown in the image below, you can either drag and drop your image (or images for a mass upload) or choose the specific file.  (See below for a preview of the Creatives Editor).

Videos

The ShareASale Make-A-Video tool is a great way to showcase specific products to consumers in an easily consumable way. The tool allows you to upload .MP4 files, which you can choose to host on the Network (limit 3 videos) or link to an existing video hosted elsewhere (no upload limit). 

You can set cue points throughout the video that will populate a sidebar next to the video that highlights a product pulled from your Datafeed and associated link. Alternatively, you can choose a custom image (that you may be using in other marketing materials) by putting in its image path. 

Coupons and Deals

The Coupons and Deals database is another great place to present your best selling products. Putting the creative into a unique coupon or deal is an added bonus! A deal banner which gives a dollar amount or percentage off can stand out to potential customers on an Affiliate blog or site. (See example below).

While setting up these banners in your ShareASale account, you can upload both a large and a thumbnail image. You then add in specific information such as a coupon/deal title, coupon code, descriptions (HTML, text, or both), restrictions, a start and end date, and publish date.

You can also force exclusivity on the coupon/deal. This means is that when active, any transaction where this coupon code is in use will credit to the Affiliate for whom this deal is private. This feature can onlybe used when the deal is private for a single affiliate. To use this, you have to add coupon code data to your tracking code. Contact us to find out how to set this up.

Finally, don’t forget to put a special commission rate on coupons and deals! Remember though, it cannot be less than your global commission rate. You can set it up so the special commission will only trigger if the coupon code is in use at checkout. As with the forced exclusivity, this must be set up by adding coupon code data to your tracking code, contact us for setup help.

By using our variety of creative options to feature your brand’s hottest products, you are able to guide what Affiliates are promoting and lead to increased conversions!
