Q4 Thoughts: Focus on Creating Meaningful Connections

Establishing really close one-on-one relationships with key partners and talking with them on a regular basis can strengthen your program. To build a strong relationship with your Affiliates, send them regular newsletters, outlining new products, promotions, or seasonal creatives. Also, listen to what they want. Ask your Affiliates what could be done differently, send them surveys, or create dedicated weekly updates to your top performers. Make your emails personal to each partner so that your message resonates as best as it can.

Setting Clear Expectations

In your affiliate communications, it is important to set expectations. Your goal should be to communicate relevant information about what is new to your site and in your program. Think of newsletters, especially, as your marketing toolkit for Affiliates. Include details and clear call-to-actions that will motivate your Affiliates to better sell or market your product or service.

 

Help Each Other Achieve Goals

Ultimately, remember that you and your affiliate partners are on the same team, working towards the same goal. When Affiliate Marketing is successful, it is a win-win situation for both brand and blogger. Relationships take effort and strengthen over time, so investing time into meaningful connections is the first step to building a powerful Affiliate Program.
