ShareASale’s Guide to Gardening

April 14, 2017 by ShareASale Contributor

It’s a gardener’s favorite time of year: Spring! The sun is shining as colder weather moves out, so it is time to pull the ‘ole tools out of the shed and make a trip to the flower nursery to get your garden back into shape.

This guide contains a few step-by-step tips for the novice gardener as well as some awesome Merchant products that will help you build your garden from start to finish! Affiliates, get inspired by the season of new growth and use this post as a jumping-off point for your own spring-themed post.

1. Stock up on new tools

From handheld trowels and cultivators to aerators, watering cans, and electric trimmers: you will need many tools besides your own hands to make your garden grow. These Merchants have just what you need:

2. Revitalize your soil

Most of the country will be recovering from brutal temps, which can be hard on your garden. Help add back nutrients with these Merchants that have everything from rich soil replacements to pre and post planting fertilizer.

3. Choose your seeds

An essential item for growing vegetables and flowers in your garden are seeds! If that is news to you, perhaps you should stick with faux plants. (We kid!) These Merchants can help you find top-quality seeds of nearly every variety to get started.

3. Find a planter

If you don’t have a plot of land laid out for a garden, this is where planters come in. Taking up a minimal amount of space and adding a decorative flare, pots and planters can be a fun way to garden with tight quarters. As Chicagoan’s, planters are our favorite for urban gardens! The highlighted Merchants will have everything you need for gardening in planters!

These Merchants carry all types of large plants and products for your home improvement, giving you a jump start on the growing process.

I (along with plenty of others) enjoy a good home renovation or home décor project blog post. One of my favorite activities is watching shows on HGTV, waiting for that day when I can tackle a bunch of home projects myself. I have a lot of respect for home and garden bloggers.
