- When they APPLY for your program.
- When/if they are DECLINED
- When/if they are APPROVED into your program
What to include in your APPLY auto-responses:
- Brief program overview – Let the Affiliate know a bit about how your Merchant Program is run, what is expected of Affiliates, and what criteria you use to evaluate new Affiliate partners.
- Timeframe for Approval – When can they expect to hear from you?
What to include in your APPROVAL auto-responses:
- Join incentives or New Affiliate bonus opportunities – Do you offer 2x commission during the first month of an Affiliate? Do you have a performance tier challenge going on? Let your new Affiliates in on the action!
- Current banners or links – Point your new partners in the right direction for their promotions. Include banner ID’s or any of your top links to help them get started.
- Contact Info – Make sure your contact information appears in the reply as well.
What to include in your DECLINE auto-response:
- Explain your criteria for declining applications. This will cut down on a lot of questions and maybe help them improve future applications.
- Contact Info – Affiliates may have to reach you in the case of a mistake in their application or if they think they have been mistakenly declined.
